cordless phone interruptions with router
hi i have an o2 wireless box manufactured by Thomson and i've been given it from my internet provider and its been working great but i noticed that each time the computer rang my net cut off on both computers (one connected wirelessly and another via ethernet). i spoke to my internet provider about this and they made an investigation, this investigation took about an hour with them on the phone and they came to the conclusion that my cordless phone i interrupting my internet connection and visa versa. i tried reading up on this and it turned out that my router is on the same wireless frequency as the cordless phone - this phone is pretty expensive so we can't just get rid of it straight away but i was wondering what can be done? or if anyone knows anything about it? more importantly - is this the correct forum to post this query in?
thanks ehab |

Re: cordless phone interruptions with router
Well, you can start by changing the channel of the wireless router.

Re: cordless phone interruptions with router
You need to enter the web based configuration for the router. Since I don't know what the exact make/model is, I can't be more specific. If this is an ISP supplied router, they should be able to help you.

Re: cordless phone interruptions with router
Here's a user's manual for the 780, maybe that will help.
