Linksys (WRT110) Setup Help?
Okay. I have literally been on the internet for months on my laptop now.
i bought the linksys router when i bought the laptop about 3 months ago. there is a main computer with the internet is connected to. my problem is, i was using the program limewire, and my internet connection just turned off. i played with my laptop and connected back.... then it did it again. so i got out of limewire and tried to fix it. i literally tried everything i think. i kept dignosing the problem but it kept saying the the network it marked as hidden. i tried to reinstall the router. i get through step 1 which is the check connection step. it comes out positive. then when i get to the install router step. i unplug the ethernet cable into the internet port on the back of the router. then i connect the other ethernet cable to my computer and router. but when it say plug the router in, it waits for about a minute and tells me that the ethernet cable is not connected correctly. i dont know what to do now. i cant figure out how to connect my laptop to my internet through my router now. even though the main computer works. please help or let me know what i can and should do. thanks josh |
