I have problem with my linksy network adaptor, its works fine when my router is unsecure, it just connects automatically but when i secure the linksy router the adaptor doesn't pick up any wireless networks at all, i can't find the box to type in my pass key
if anyone can help i would be most greatful

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

Encrypt the router, then remove ALL stored wireless profiles for your machine and search for wireless networks. You should be prompted for the encryption key at that point.
