[SOLVED] Lost encryption key

We have an old lap top and had to get a D-link for it. Sigh I'm not good at remembering things I keep all boxes and information. I can't find anything for the encryption key for the stupid D-link. I haven't had a problem besides getting kicked off line a dozen times a day. Its a wua2340 Oh its not set for anything special wish it was or knew how to change it. I would! LOL Please help Boz

If you get on-line at all to this router, it's not an encryption key issue.

Some things you can try here.

For wireless connections, change the channel on the router, I like channels 1, 6, and 11 in the US.
For wireless connections, try moving either the wireless router/AP or the wireless computer. Even a couple of feet will sometimes make a big difference.
Update the firmware to the latest version available on the manufacturer's site.
Reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure.

Many times these measures will resolve a lot of intermittent issues.

I don't know what went wrong! I still don't understand why!!! I still don't know how to fix that ever the problem was! Well I did fix it but not any way anyone told me. I just did the system restore at a time when it did work and VOILA it works! I'm not going to look a gifted horse in mouth! It works and I'm happy! Thanks anyway. Boz
