webcams and inconsistent connection
Hello everyone!
Im not very computer- educated but i would really appreciate your help! (Please excuse the many incorrect term that will appear) Ok, here's the deal. I want to buy a webcam b/c my boyfriend is in the military overseas, and this would be a great way to see each other. My brother told me that we can't have webcams, that they wont work, b/c the connection number from our computer to the internet is always changing in order to use the best one. (we have cable internet) Therefore our computer does not "serve" and this means a webcam will not work? Is this true? Or can someone please explain this furtherb/c my brother does not want too. Is there anyway i can fix or get around this problem b/c i really want to havea webcam! Thanks for all your help guys! Katie |
