OS: Windows Vista

My System

Twisted New to Wi-FI

I need your help if possible. I am new to the whole WI-FI bid and me and my Fiance just purchased a laptop....my specs are on my profile if you need to see them. Anyways I play an online game actually a MMORPG and its really fun its called Infantry and its brought to you by the good folks at Sony, but I have a problem, when I was still using Dial-up I was barely lagging on their servers now I have Wi-FI I have internal cards but it came with the computer.....my internet connection speed is great or at least good enough for me...but my ping and packetloss on the server is like Server to You=12.9% and You to Server=0.5%? I closed all extra programs and went even as far as Ctrl+alt+del and closing pretty much everything except what was needed to run Vista and the game (I even ended process on windows explorer) and my lag went down some but not much I am currently living in a motel and they own the router for the WI-FI but I am no more than maybe 200ft from their main office where the Router is located....are there any hints or possibly tips you can give me to help lower my lag and get my speed going right, I dont care even if Its a script for the adapters whatever you can do I would be much obliged.....
