HP bt-500 Bluetooth USB Adapter freaking out...

Hey everyone,

Just bought the HP Bluetooth adapter model number bt-500 I believe from Wal Mart this past week. Ever since I installed it and used it as my network adapter for internet sharing between my laptop and my Pocket-PC cell phone... it will hold the internet connection for 15seconds-6minutes or so, and then DISCONNECT repeatedly.

Sometimes my cell phone will say "To connect for first time would you like to make your cell phone discoverable to other devices?" Other times, it will just cut off somehow without an error code, and other times I notice my connection will be lost if I try to run more than one download/webpage at a time...

My laptop is also a tad old, it's an HP ze4115 from about 4-5 years ago, but it's it perfect condition and has no virus' and has 94% space free on the hard-drive... Windows XP is the operating software (which is not windows validated, a friend put it on for me)

ANY IDEAS? I was thinking...
- Laptop does not have enough RAM or fast enough/updated operating speed
- BIOS needs updated
- Since Windows-XP isn't a copied disc, maybe I should install an "authentic"
- Maybe my cell phone (Pockt-PC 6800 made by HTC, from Alltel) is being retarded

I have no clue...... how can I connect and stay connected? THANKS GUYS!!! :)
