Lag switch

Hey, my mom is worried that if I make a lag switch and use it, it might mess up the internet, Can anyone post here so it will be a little more reassuring? Because I really want to make one... Just post here if it will mess up the internet. Thanks. :)

You need to be really really really careful here, bcause if you wire up your lag the wrong way you could so easily "mess up the internet."
You know that's why moms are moms - they're so much older and they've got so much more experience they've seen what a bad lag can do to the whole internet, oh my god, you could wipe out the whole thing .............

OK, I looked it up. A lag switch is a mechanism installed on a home network that allows you to insert delays into the flow of local traffic to the Internet. Lag switches are normally used by unscrupulous players wanting to cheat at online video games. Lag switches are unrelated to normal network switches.

This isn't something we're interested in helping with, sorry.
