Connection confusion
OK I'm really hoping someone can help me with this cos it's really starting to frustrate me. I'll try and explain this but it's quite complicated.
I just had to reformat my desktop computer. It's now working great and i want to get back to clogging it back up with downloads but the problem is my connection keeps going off. My computer has a Peak ii Wireless LAN USB Adapter installed. I don't think it's anything wrong with the actual connection because it's still working on the desktop computer downstairs and my brothers laptop when it's gone off on mine. I also don't think it's the PEAK USB Adaptor because the computer downstairs uses the same thing and this doesn't happen. The connection can't last hours but mostly it disconnects within half an hour and sometimes even after five minutes. It will only come back on if i either reinstall the driver or restart my computer but then it can go back off again the same as before. I think i've covered all the basic details here so if anyone has any ideas i'd apreciate any suggestions. cheers. Georgie |

Re: Connection confusion
Thanks for the response...
Status is usually "Very Good" but it even says that when it isn't working. The two little screens in the bottom corner stop flashing though so i know straight away when it has gone off. My comp is just in the next room but i have ran wireless off it before without any problems. Besides my Wii and 360 are sat next to it and have no problems online. Just as a side note, i've just had to reinstall the driver twice while writing this because of the connection going off. Please save me! lol |
