Getting internet through my router..idk...

The internet light from my modem is never on and the only way it works is when i have a router connected to it (internet light still won't light up tho -_-), which would be fine except now i have a hard time connecting with people on xbox live (games for pc are fine) and when i put all of the wires from my router to my modem nothing works!!11!!!1

have you contacted your isp about the light problem? Try resetting it by pulling hte power from it for about 5 seconds and then replug.

Normally there is only 1 wire from the modem to the router.

ya i know, for me it's yellow. i mean if i plug the wires connected to other things, example: xbox 360, into my modem i don't get any internets

If you plug in the Xbox to the modem before turning on the Xbox will it work then?
What type of internet service DS,Cable and which provider? What brand and model modem?
