Satellite "Connects" but I'm not connected

Currently, My wildblue satellite modem is connected to my computer, and plugged in. However, although network connections says I'm connected, I'm unable to go to any webpages, play WoW, or even ping google from the command line! I try to repair the connection, no luck. I boot into Ubuntu Hardy Heron, which I installed the day before this happened. No luck.

Since it's not working in either Windows XP SP3 or Ubuntu (it normally works on both, and in VMs), that makes me think it's a hardware problem. The only other thing I downloaded was Spybot Search and Destroy. I installed and ran that once yesterday, then I undid what it changed today, hoping it would fix my problem.

If anyone has any idea what the problem is or how to fix it, please let me know.

Re: Satellite "Connects" but I'm not connected

" Dolly" has affected the Laredo area where one of the chief gateways/offices for WildBlue. I was not able to go online with my WB connection either from about 4 am PST and decided to go with my dialup for the final two hours I was on.

You may have found your WB might be working now (8:43 PM PST) I just came online with mine with out any problems.

You are correct, it did indeed correct itself. Darn wildblue, but thank you for your reply.
