Can anyone help me, computer locks up whenever the ethernet cable is plugged in.
My computer locks up everytime it is plugged in. Windows will boot up and about 4-5 minutes, the whole computer freezes. The keyboard and mouse doesn't work but I the programs still works. I found this out because when it locked up, the internet exlpolorer was still on and the ad on the page was still moving. It is fine if it is not plug in.
I know that it is not a virus because I did full windows reintall with a different harddrive. My card is realtek rtl8169/8110 family gigabit ethernet nic and the driver version is 5.663.1212.2006 (date: 12/12/06). It works fine in safe mode. Also I tried putting in my old card but with the same result. |
