Problem with router. help Plz!
About one year ago I bought this 2wire modem/router from AT&T. Now I have a scientific Atlanta cable modem and what I want to do is connect the cable modem to the modem/router and from the router to the computer but when ever I connect to the internet I get the DSL error that tells me that there is no service. Is there a way to make the modem/router only act as a router and not the modem so I won't get the same error? thanx

Re: Problem with router. help Plz!
No can do. The WAN port of your 2WIRE modem/router is for a DSL line, you need a standard broadband router that has an Ethernet WAN port.
The DSL modem/router is only useful on a DSL connection.
