Trouble connecting to the internet through my router wirelessly!

Hi,

Alright well my problem is that I have a connection to the internet with my desktop using an ethernet cord, but i am unable to connection with my laptop using wireless. I was able to access it, but I think I may have messed with the settings at some point recently. The linksys technical support can not help me because my router is just barely over 3 years old. What I've done already is reset my router to its default settings. But this caused a new problem. You know in the network and sharing center it shows you a diagram of your pc -> your network -> Intenet. Well the connection from my pc to the network is green but the connection from the network to the internet has a red X on it. However, my desktop is connected to the internet right now. None of the diagnosis helped me. Also my signal strength is excellent. What else can I do?

Did you start with a firmware upgrade of the router? How about disabling all encryption to get it working?

Let's see this for the machine.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
