Re: Difference in Speeds

personally I have noticed a difference, and much prefer Ethernet. using USB ties up the CPU, and im pretty sure the max speed though usb is a lot lower then ethernet.

Ethernet has its own processor, ither its intrigrated into your motherboard, or its a PCI card. Ither way it doesnt use nearly as much CPU power as USB does.

it is expessially apperent with online gaming, in first person shooters. The game itself takes a lot of CPU power, lagging out the internet connection. then the internet connection lags out the game

im not sure exactly how it works.. but I kno for a fact that Ethernet is better.

Re: Difference in Speeds

Another issue with USB is the fact that other USB drivers can conflict with the network drivers and cause issues. I find USB networking problematic in many cases and avoid it whenever I can.
