Re: D-Link DI-524 help

Thought it would be fairly straight forward as I've done in the past with a Linksys router.

Trying to use my D-link DI-524 with my DynDns acct. I set my system's IP address in the DMZ.

However whenever I type in my dyndns address, I get a box saying:

"A User Name and Password is being requested by http://####.homeftp.net. The site says "DI-524".

Not quite sure where to disable this and let web requests access my server using dyndns.

Any ideas? I've gone thru all the menus and options twice.

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

If you're trying to do this locally, you can't do that with this router. You'd have to have a router that has WAN Loopback capability, that DI-524 does not.
