verizon DSL outdoor filter

when my verizon DSL was installed, the filters on every phone didn't work so he put something outside the house that filtered it down to one phone line in the house. I now want to move the modem in my house but can't because the modem only works on the one phone line. Is there any way for me to change what the technician did without paying them to come and fix it.

Well, you'll have run the wire to the new location directly from the outside, what they installed was a DSL splitter.
