New Modem...Slow Connection.
So I just moved to Oregon from Washington and Comcast told me that I couldn't use my modem until they released it from Washington so I have been using a rental modem. I called to have my modem installed today and they installed it just fine. The only problem is that now my wireless internet connection is way slower than before. I used to connect at about 54 Mbps wireless, now it's about 11-14 Mbps. I have restarted my router and modem. It is a Motorola Surfboard SB5120 modem and a Linksys Wireless G Router WRT54GS. I had a fast internet connection before my modem and when I was using my modem in Washington. I have excellent signal strength. I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated, Thank You.

Re: New Modem...Slow Connection.
Start by changing the wireless channel, it's the first step. I like channels 1, 6, and 11 in the US.
