Lost Internet connection ? HELP!

Hi I loose my internet connection many times every day after I have changed from XP to Vista :-( Then I need to repair my internet connection with vista so I can use the internet again for a couple of hours.

I use a Motorola SBV5121 Cable modem and my computer is a HP. I have changed the cable modem but that did not help, my internet connector says that there is nothing wrong with the connection.

And I have a Realtek RTL 8139/810X Family Fast Eternet NIC. I have the new driver for that, but that did also not help.

I have triede to contact HP, but they can't help me :-( I have tried to contact microsoft and they can't help me. I have also tried to contact realtek but they do not write back :-(

The error I get from vista is

Is there no one who could help me ? or know where I can get some help to this problem ?

Hmm, do you use a router in between your computer and your modem?

If not, you should.

If so, it may be #1 overheating or #2 may be cheap junk that can't handle what it was designed for. I ran into problem #2 with a Linksys.

No there is no router, everything I have to internet is from my internet supporter. But why should it be overheating ? it worked fine with XP. But not with Vista ? And my internet supporter have been here to test the internet with another computer and that worked fine. So it must be something on my computer.

After I have been maybe 2 hours on the internet I get a yellow triangel with this sign in ! over my internet connection. Then I need to repair my Lan connection with vista or just turn the internet off and then on again and then it works again for some hours.

Are you using Windows Vista: Service Pack 1? It could be a problem Microsoft fixed in Service Pack 1...

Oh I was missing the Service Pack 1 and I have just installed it. But that did not help, I lost my internet connection again.

Could some pictures help with the problem on my pc help ?

Maybe you should ask your question in the Windows Vista forum.

Vista is junk in my opinion. It's network stack is so messed up. Listen servers in Source Games lag for no reason, and too many things are moved or missing. I wish they would drop their new stack and use the one found in Server 2003.
