Problem with Wireless USB Abapter!

I have a problem with my Wireless USB adapter (Level 1 108Mbps Wireless Adapter)
I will start from the beginning!
My Pc was conected to the Internet thru another device (Sinus 154). Until it stopt workink for some reason! Well after hours and hours of trying to get it to work again, I decided that it had to be a hardware problem. So I organised myself a new wireless adapter (Level1 108Mbps Wireless Adapter).
I Installed everything as it stood in the manuall, and that worked fine!
Then when I opened the window where one sees the conections and where one has to type in the password and all that, it could'nt find a signal!
Now I know thw signal is strong enough, because the other pc is in the next room, and with the other devise it was a good signal (80%).
So then I read the manual again and it says that with i plug it in one lamp should be on (power) wich it is and a second lamp (Link) should be flashing, to show that it is searching for a signal! This second lamp (Link) on the devise does NOT blink or go on at all!

So I am getting no signal and the Devise isnt searching (according to the lamp)
I have set everything in the advanced section of the program to what it should be (SSID, Password, WEP, and so on) and still nothing!

I am at a dead end and dont know how to continue
