DEll 5150 locks up..

good day to all. my just purchased 5150 locks up

1 I think when I loose the internet satellite it freezes

can not tell for sure. it lock up no mouse movement nothing. frozen screen.
the computer is essentially empty.
if I use it next to the router it works OK for several hours.
if I use it in a poor reception area it locks up frequently.

if I take out the d-link card it seems to works ok.

the battery light flashes green amber amber.
I have ordered a new battery.

suggestions?

Well, first step would be to reload the drivers for the D-Link card. If this is a new laptop, why not use the Internal wireless capability?

I just put in the dirvers to the D-link. I use it as the internal wireless does not seem to want to connect. I removed the d- link and it works ok for a while then freezes up. So it is not the d-link.

it will work fine for a while then the mouse freezes there is no reset other then to hold down the on.... off button.
i replaced the battery.
