[SOLVED] please help!!
Hello,
I recently just purchased a dell latitude d610 from ebay, and it came with no software or drivers installed. i did everything ok, installed my copy of windows, installed some drivers, but i ran across a problem: it has internal wifi installed, and the device is called "broadcom bcm5701 gigabit ethernet", so i downloaded the driver from dell support and installed it. it installed ok, and i ran diagnostics just in case, came back perfect. my problem is it does not connect to the network! i have a wireless card that i temporarily installed on it too, and it connects. but i am going to have to be giving that card back, and was hoping the internal modem would work, but i am clueless. it says "network not found" even though the wireless router has no password and everything else freely connects. is there anything that i'm missing? do i need to "program" the internal modem to work with the router? thanks [from a very frustrated inspiring noob] |
