internet stops workin at the same Times everyday

My fathers computer and now mine, shuts down at 10am and around 5pm every day. still shows that we are still connected, But we get the connection has timed out screen. We live on the same property with 2 separate house with two separate phone lines split at the box. He has at&t DSL, And i have stic.net DSL. I have reinstalled xp on 3 computers now and it still happens....I am stumped!!!!!!!!! Any tips would really help!!!

Hi,
I guess, you both are using the services from same ISP and using same router or modem.
because.. there might be time wrong setting our timeout. logon to your modem or router and check out the timeout setting.
You can also try upgrading the firmware for your router or modem

We have different modems and different dsl providers and we live in different houses on our land. the only connection we share is the main phone box on the telephone pole, then that is split with different phone numbers to each house......

I'd be guessing that the company that provides the copper has a problem. Remember, even though you have different providers, they all come over the same phone network for the "last mile". That appears to be where your issues may lie.
