[SOLVED] Daughters computer
Ok here's my problem.
My daughters computer has problems. My grandkids probably got something from the web via a download from MySpace. I brought her computer to my house( she lives a 100 miles away) to fix. I went to the sticky for help with windows XP and viruses. Did the first step or two. Now i need to run a check online with Panda and post the logs. I'm trying to hook up her computer to my internet provider thru my Linksys router and thats abut as far as i got. I have no idea what to do from here. I would appreciate any help offered Thank You gentlemen Tony |

Re: Daughters computer
Well i have messed with this computer most of the day and haven't gotten anywhere.
So let me recap my problems grandkids picked something up form the internet, the big yellow banner pops up saying the computers infected. Brought the computer to my house tried to install Norton anti virus, installation would hang up and not complete. Did step 1 of the 5 step virus thing cant go any further because i can't get the computer on the internet. I hooked it up to my router and did the steps listed above to connect to the internet. I wanted to run the Panda scan. i cant get to the task manager to see whats running. went to regedit and got the task manager to work once. no it wont work even following the way i got it to work before. So now I'm completely stuck without someones help. I'll check back tomorrow and see if i have gotten any replies . Is there anyway i could download the panda to my good computer and flash drive it to the other? Ive tried to fix this thing but I'm at a speed bump so somebody please help me out. Thanks Tony Thanks tony Last edited by tinner105; 06-04-2008 at 06:58 PM. |
