got a virus and now my modem stopped working
hey i got a virus on my pc from a bad download and something and it messed up the pc but also the modem...all of a sudden the internet connection was gone and the dsl light is now off. i was running an xp operating sytem and the modem is a speedstream 4200 with telstra big pond...called telstra..they said they'll send some1 in 2 business days..but its a long weekend..just wanted to knoow could the virus have affected the modem??

I really doubt the virus had any effect on the modem, it's probably the computer that has the issue.
