General Question
This is a pretty general question due to the fact I am not sure too much of what this person's computer consists of. It is actually a guy that I work withs daughter's computer. All of a sudden one day she could not connect to the internet. She uses DSL. In device manager her network card shows up and says that it is working properly. When she does an ipconfig from command prompt it shows her ip address as 000.000.000.0
My first question is that I want to rule out her network adapter as being the problem and what are the best steps to do so??? I do know that this is an older PC that runs Windows 98 and it is a Gateway. Sorry for such little information but it is all that I am aware of at this time. Thank you in advance for your responses they are appreciated. |
