Won't Connect....
Okay, so my boyfriends family has an older style computer, its so old now, that the disk drive is broken, doesn't work. I do have a A Drive still... but anyways, the kids are always looking at stuff with viruses and spyware and have finally managed to crash the computer. I told my boyfriend to do system restore, and instead he did something else, which erased the entire hard drive of any software that was previously installed. The dsl that they use is through sbc/att or w/e, and its one of the oldest 2wires I've seen. I cannot connect to the internet, cannot install the cd ( no disk drive), and ocaissonaly can get a local network, but that doesn't help, nobody knows the passwords or anything. The sbc/att company won't do anything, they say a tech will need to come out to fix everything now. Does anyone have any idea of how I can avoid this? Is there anyway around this? Money is extremely short.... Please help?

Re: Won't Connect....
Sounds like it's time to buy a new computer.
