is there a way I can increase the number of forwarded ports on router?
I have a linksys router and only have 10 ports available to forward. They are already taken up. Is there a way I can increase the number of ports?
thanks

Nope. If it's compatible, you may be able to use 3rd party firmware such as DD-WRT, it may allow a larger port range. Why not just put that computer in the DMZ of the router?

how do I put my computer in the DMZ? And what benefits would I gain from doing so?

Check www.portforward.com, there are instructions for port forwarding and configuring the DMZ for most router makes/models.
