Wireless Repeater connection problems
OK heres the deal, i connect to xbox live through a wireless repeater which is connected to my main computers wireless signal. Its been working great for the last few months with no problems. But within the last two days my connection suddenly just shuts down but then start up again as if nothing has happened. Im getting tired of these wireless giveouts and im trying to figure out what on earth keeps happening to my signal (my connection will go from excellent to absoluetly zero to excellent again within a few seconds).
Anyone have any ideas what my problem could be, i dont think its interference, because my connection is set up the same exact way it was during the winter and i had no problems with it before this. Can someone give me a rundown on possible issues that could cause these wireless problems? Thanks for taking your time to help me out. ![]() |

Re: Wireless Repeater connection problems
I'm confused why you would rule out interference so quickly. Something in the environment have changed. Your neighbor may have gotten a new wireless network. You may have got a new wireless phone.
Try changing the wireless channel, it's the logical first step.

Re: Wireless Repeater connection problems
alright, i moved the repeater into the same room as the wireless modem is located and it still has the occasional weak signal, but i noticed there is indeed a wireless phone right next to the modem, im going to try and move that and see what happens.

Re: Wireless Repeater connection problems
A 2.4ghz wireless phone can drive your system nuts! That's a prime cause of wireless issues!
