Signal Strength Excellent-limited or no connectivity
HELP!
My boss just purchased a new laptop. HP Compaq nc2400. The wireless card is an Intel Pro 3945ABG. We us a Belkin N1 Pre-router with security. I have tried the XP "repair" tool and it says it cannot acquire an IP address. HP chat has not been any help AT ALL! Any thoughts? Anything I need to reset? TIA |

Re: Signal Strength Excellent-limited or no connectivity
Turn off ALL security on the router and see if you can connect. If so, then enable WPA-PSK on the router ONLY, not MAC filtering and the other junk. If you use a strong random key, it's quite secure with WPA.
