[SOLVED] strange router problems
I am trying to shed some light on a problem that occurred with my wireless routers. I have three WAP's. One is hardwired directly to the switch and two are connected remotely to the hardwired WAP. This morning I changed the channels on the three to 1,6,11 respectively. I then lost contact with the two remotes and then the hardwired WAP went down as well. After various troubleshooting I was finally able to get the wireless network back up by hardwiring all three, and then using the quick set button to get my network settings back. I also had to go through to each wireless client and reenter the encryption code so they could reconnect. Any idea what might have caused this?

Re: strange router problems
After doing some research on this problem I found that WAP's set up as wireless repeaters have to be on the same channel in order to communicate. This would explain my problems. We changed the WAP's all back to channel 11 and they were able to communicate. Problem solved.
