[SOLVED] Generic Host Win32 Services?? Makes Internet Drop Out

Ok i am running Windowsxp Professional i am on dial up and when im running the internet and at random times my computer pops up with Generic host Win32 Services Encountered an Error and had to close. Then my Pc cant connect to any site server or msn server nothing but the icon saying im still connected is still there so i cant redial i have to restart the computer to reconnect. i would like to know what Generic Host Win32 Services is and what i can do to stop it dropping out.

Sounds like corruption or some malware. I'd eliminate malware first.

Please follow the instructions here (5 pages) and then post all the requested logs in a new thread here for the security analysts to look at. If you have any trouble running any of the scans, leave them and move onto the next.

Thanks ill try those steps, would a spyware remover like adaware fix this problem aswell or do i need to use the special malware scanner in the steps?? ty for the reply

Hold That thought Johnwill i believe ive solved the problem i worked out the date the problem started to the date i installed the myspace instant messenger program and after i deleted it i havent had it drop out...
