connection speed?

Hello team,

My girlfriend just upgraded her internet connection to Road Runner Turbo. We never checked to see what the speed was before the upgrade, and was wondering if theres a way to check this new upgraded speed?

Hi Grassi,

There are many online speed tests you could use.

TSF has it's own - http://www.techsupportforum.com/speed.php

I also use this one - http://www.speedtest.net/

Re: connection speed?

You could have upgraded your download allowance

Those numbers mean you have a 256kbps connection, if that helps you at all.

Re: connection speed?

Alrighty, 1mbps = (roughly) 1000kbps. Broadband connection are usually 1.5mbps, which is 1500 kbps which is ~ 190kb/s (kbps is kilobits per second, kb/s is kilobytes per second where 1 byte has 8 bits Simple)

256 should get you by with general browsing, if you are looking to do more and you can, you probably should upgrade it.
