FTP connecting is slow, once connected, very fast
When I go to an FTP site, either via the browser (ftp://ftp.websitesupport.biz) or via my ftp client (tried Globalscape on a Mac, and CuteFTP on a PC with the same result), it takes up to 60 seconds before I connect. once connected, service is very fast. But that initial delay causes FTP timeouts. I have tested from other PCs and sites and the same FTP site is fast (ftp://ftp.websitesupport.biz). Also strangely enough, if I go to other ftp sites such as ftp.microsoft.com it also connects fast! I am wondering if there could be a router configuration I should change? or??
