second pc no longer connects

hi, i'm having a strange problem with a broadband connection..
after plugging a second pc to a sky netgear broadband modem/router everything was initially running fine. i did a little tweaking with utorrent to get faster download speeds following some guides on google. this was mainly stuff i'd done on an old computer in the past and had worked fine then.
i changed the port number then checked it on the router settings page, by typing the default gateway IP into the url bar and the port had been changed to the one i changed to.
lastly ran the tcp optimizer program (also something that has worked fine for me in the past).
after a restart i can no longer get online with the second pc, but the main pc works fine as before.

i undid changes made by tcp optimizer and clicked reset to windows default, reset tcp/ip protocol using the 'guided help' program from microsoft. i'v powered everything down and back up in correct order, reset changes to utorrent (though i doubt thats the problem). ipconfig report:
IP - 192.168.0.3
subnet mask - 255.255.255.0
default gateway - 192.168.0.1
i understand these are set correctly, which is more baffling. One other thing i noticed, in the network connections window, the internet gateway icon has disappeared, but LAN icon remains and seams healthy, but taskbar reports limited or no connection.

the port shown on modem/router settings page has returned to 55728 on pc 1, but i cant access this page on pc 2 due to lack on connection.
i thought of reseting router to factory defaults, but am worried of the effects to pc 1.

any advice would be much appreciated!
thanks

Re: second pc no longer connects

For each of the two machines, please do this.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
