[SOLVED] My modem keeps on completely restarting which then ends up restarting again.

My modem keeps on restarting for no reason and sometimes it would not do it for ages and some times it would do it continuously without any visible cause.
I'm running a connection with my brother with my computer being the one providing connection to his computer. The internet would sometimes also just disconnect the adsl connection and try and reconnect but thats rare compared to completely restarting. While writing this on offline mode my modem disconnected 3 times thats how quick is disconnects. Can someone please assist me with my problems and will provide the required imformation when requested for. Thanks.

What exactly are the symptoms of the modem "restarting" Do you actually see the modem go through it's reset sequence? If so, I'd be looking for a hardware issue, either the modem, it's power supply, or the power connection it's using.

Ah thanks for the help it was just a faulty connections heh heh, but yeah thanks, ill be coming back in the future for help.
