Just like with dialup... onboard processing is always a nice feature... Less strain on the ol' CPU especially when dealing with speeds like what good cable modem can put out ;) Go hit eBay after you do some product research.... As of now I'm kinda partial to Motorola.. but that's just because it's the only one I have...

BTW congrats on the move... new house? Sell the old one? Sue anybody rich?

None of the above, I'm rolling the dice. Re-financing old house to pay for roof and down payment on new house, betting with a fresh coat of paint and a roof without holes it will sell quicker.

Hey, you're speaking to me. I thought you didn't like me any more or something.:|

:D Yeah, when I go looking at houses, roofs without holes are a major plus.

What'd give ya that idea man.... I've been busy... you've been busy, and my AT&T account got robbed from me, so I had to steal my friend Jon's name for an e-mail..... my new email is DaSweetOne@attbi.com I didn't really steal his name since I made it up for him to begin with...

I agree with Valiant on this one Motorola is the way to go. Iv had mine for a little under a year and no problems at all. I had another kind earlier .... crap city, unfortunately I don't remember who made it because I tossed it with joy and got my new one.

[Edit] Also like Laffctx said stay away from the USB ones ... their nothing but headaches, its ok to get a combo type but make sure you utilize the Ethernet connection and not the USB option or your gonna get connectivity problems ....

I learned the USB lesson with my sattelite modem; it gave me the first BSOD I have ever seen in win2000.
