Mistake Help with modem router problem

Please someone help.
I have Sagem fast1201 adsl modem and ZyXEL P-320w wireless router.
Two desktop computers and laptop.
What is the problem?
I have connected two desktops with cable and laptop over wireless.
Everything works fine between them, sharing etc. Internet too but when I try to open my hotmail email from my laptop its not working. Msn live messenger too. I cannot send mail from outlook.
I open yahoo mail but cant read mail text. Same thing from other computers.
When I try to upload something to server on FTP it stops on 512kb.
When I connect directly from Sagem modem not through Zyxel router everything works.
I removed all firewalls.
Any idea...
Thanks.

Re: Help with modem router problem

Some things you can try here.
  1. Change the channel on the router, I like channels 1, 6, and 11 in the US.
  2. Update the firmware to the latest version available on the manufacturer's site.
  3. Reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure.

Many times these measures will resolve a lot of intermittent issues.

Re: Help with modem router problem

Try disabling the firewall features of the router, specifically the SPI firewall.

Only other thing I can suggest is an email to ZyXEL tech support, see if they have any ideas.

Re: Help with modem router problem

Try changing the MTU specification on the ZyXEL router. For DSL, it should normally be 1492, and the router may be defaulting to 1500. It's usually found in the WAN configuration section.

I happen to have a ZyXEL router, here's the place I see it in the WAN configuration section.
