Internet-Router problem
Ok so I have Charter Cable internet.
If I connect my Modem directly to the computer then it works just fine. Though if I hook the modem like directly to my labtop or anyone elses it will not work. It doesn't work if I hook it directly to a Ps3 or Xbox360. Also if I run the modem to router back to the computer so I can split it and have a wireless signal it will not work. The router reads internet but the computer will not access the web unless it is directly into it. Any solutions? This is very annoying because I want to have a wireless connection for my labtop and I want to be able to split the internet for online gaming and other uses. |

Re: Internet-Router problem
A bit strange, the cable modem would work on one computer but not the rest.
hmmm......try using another network cable if you havent tried that already. Also try a power cycle and see if that helps. computer_doctor |

Re: Internet-Router problem
You MUST power cycle the modem when you change the attached equipment.
