Cry Cant Connect To Im Programmes Because Of Cable Wireless Router

Basically, when I connected my cable straight up to my computer, everything worked fine, but there are 3 of us so it was impractical. We bought a router (Belkin G) and it doesn't let us use MSN Messenger, AIM or even Web AIM. I haven't tried Web MSN Messenger. It is so frustrating. I thought it was because I chose the wrong connection (static IP instead of dynamic, but I think static is actually right). I've got one of the computers still hooked up to the cable as I was told it is best to do this, but yeah. Really need help, can't do this!!!

Describe exactly how you have everything connected. Also, I'd like to see this.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Re: Cant Connect To Im Programmes Because Of Cable Wireless Router

Oh, sorry, I'm using a Mac. I've connected the cable modem to the router which my friend's laptop is plugged into. I set up the wireless on there and me and my other flatmate are connecting to the internet via the wireless connection. Everything else seems to work - downloads, web pages, but just not original official IM clients. I'm using Adium now and that seems to work fine, but I'd like to know why AIM and MSN, the actual programmes, arent working.
