[SOLVED] slow page loading when new window is opened

When opening up IE7 it moves very slow. Once the page is up, it moves quickly through the site. However, when I open a new window or try to go to a different site through that window, it moves slow again.

I downloaded Spybot, Adaware & Spyblaster and did scans with all of them.
Reinstalled IE7.
I don't have "Microsoft TCP/IP version 6" in my network connections.

Any other suggestions?

Problem Solved.

I found this info on another forum and it worked. Thought I'd post it to help anyone else having the same problem.


Download the TCP Optimizer and try the following settings.

General Settings tab:

Custom settings - check

Advanced Settings tab:

Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0

Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect.

VERY IMPORTANT TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

1. Under your LAN connection - properties - general tab, uninstall all the protocols there that you do not need. For a stand alone pc all you need is Internet Protocol TCP/IP.

2. Open IE and select tools - internet options - connections - LAN settings, make sure NOTHING there is checked.

3. ALWAYS connect your modem via ethernet (NIC) and make sure you have the latest drivers for your NIC from the manufacturer and set your duplex mode to "auto". If you are using a router make sure you have the latest firmware.

I also deleted the add ins in IE7. It's running much faster.
