USB Modem / PCI Adapter
I have a Verizon Wireless USB720 Modem. I can't seem to find a wireless router that will accept a USB modem. So if I installed a PCI Adapter to my desktop would my laptop be able to find the signal and connect to the internet? And if so would the two computers be able to surf different websites at the same time?

There is no such router, that's why you can't find it. The alternative is ICS.
What's the exact make/model of that modem? Take a look at this Microsoft ICS (Internet Connection Sharing tutorial.
