Having a bad ping in games at random times.

I've had this problem for quite a while, but i recently purchased a new WRT300N and it went away for a month, but now its back.

Basically, what'll happen is in games ill have a nice normal ping of 20-50, then out of nowhere it'll shoot up to 200+ (all the way to 800 once). I have no idea what causes this, but its the most annoying thing in the world. If I keep playing in the lag for a bout 20-30 minutes it'll go away, but it'll come back afterwards at a random time again. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Theres 4 computers in my house usually running, and an xbox 360 and a laptop that are on occasionally. I also host a ventrilo server from my computer. DMZ is disabled. Should I enable it and set it to my IP or would that even make a difference? Im not sure what other info to provide, but just let me know.

Also, I have directly wired my computer to the modem, and it still happens.

Run the following test a few times and we'll see if it turns up anything.

Register at DSLReports and run their Line Quality Tests. Post the results link from the top of the test display page here.
