I'm trying to set up a local area network in my house, we have 5 computers all running xp except 1, the one that isn't is running windows 98. Currently using a wireless cable modem for each of the computers. Whenever i try to set up or connect to the local area network it won't work and constantly sais that a network cable is unplugged, everything is plugged in and ive tried reinstalling hardware and everything nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

i dont know try this
i sort of had the same problem with my computer. i also tried to connect mine into a network... except mine was connecting to a router, i had to config stuff on my router.... Maybe u should config the modem and the computer alone then connectin the windows XPs after u get the windows 98 computer to work... im not sure if it'll work but its worth a try..
