Mysterious and Sudden Wireless Failure

I have a 2Wire 2701HG-B router, directly connected to a home computer (that's quite slow now), and (was) wirelessy connected to my computer and my brother's computer. While I was in school and my brother was home (he's home from college) he apparently was using GoogleEarth when suddenly he lost his wireless connection. Nobody was using any other computer (the home computer was powered down) and no router settings were changed. There is now no wireless connection, and the "wireless" and "ethernet" lights on the router are now blinking. I ran a diagnostic of the broadband link on the home computer which refreshes itself several times displaying different information for 7 different things: DSL Syncronization, G.DMT Signal, PVC Connection, PPPoE Service, PPP Authentication, IP Connection, DNS Communication. When I ran the test it said these things:

first:
PVC Connection: Could not find an ATM circuit
IP Connection: Internet address could not be found
DNS Communication: Unable to contact the DNS

then...
DSL Syncronization: No DSL signal could not be found.
G.DMT Signal: No DSL signal could not be found.

then...
DSL Syncronization: UP
G.DMT Signal: UP
PVC Connection: UP

then...
All: UP

What's wrong? How can I fix this?
