Hey guys,
My dlink router stopped accessing the internet...i can dial in directly thru the browser, however when i try to access say google, yahoo mail, etc it just goes to the "web page not found". Right now i am patched straight thru to the modem and all is fine, but i have many pcs in the house I've power cycled everything, reset with paper clip, upgraded the firmware manually, tried different ports, changed cables, reconfigured my internet settings.....i even yelled at it (hehe). All to no avail Its weird because i can "dial" straight in but i get no where when trying to browse or ping anything outside the router. All was fine yesterday, i went to sleep after a long night of gaming and when i woke up this morning to check my mail i discovered i had no connection outside the router hardware. Could the Proxy settings change without my consent? What do you guys think, new router time? Its so weird. and im out of ideas Suggestions? |

Re: Dlink Router DI-604e stopped in the middle of the night
Did you do a factory reset to defaults on the router. It's not just resetting with the paper clip, it's resetting for 15 seconds with power on.

Re: Dlink Router DI-604e stopped in the middle of the night
Johnwill,
Hey thanks man. it worked! I had reset it before but the last reset i did worked. after thinking about it for some time i am still bewildered as to why it just stopped. Maybe it got hot? I did have a long night of gaming before i had went to sleep. No matter tho its working now. I do have to set up static ip and go thru port forwarding all my games again (blech) but im exstatic that i didnt have to buy a new one. Thanks Jonwill -Meditrome- |
