reset my router, now I can't connect to the internet
I live in Thailand and I'm using a ZyXEL Prestige 660R router for my ADSL connection.
About 4 days ago, my connectivity dropped to ridiculously slow speeds. I opened up the router configuration page to see if there was a conflict with some ports but I found out that the password to access the router had been changed. I wasn't sure if I'd been hacked, if the weasels who run the hotel were piggy-backing off me, or if the router had just screwed up. As the router is actually in my room, I couldn't see how anyone could be piggybacking off the line, but whatever. Anyway, I did some reading online and I decided that I should reset the router and then log in and change the password. I did all that but I can't connect to the internet at all anymore. I tried getting the techies from the ISP to come around but, This is Thailand, I was told "Tomorrow" 4 times and then finally, "we're too busy". I don't know how to get things up and running again but I'm pretty much stuck until as I'm completely stumped. Can anyone give me some ideas? The Ethernet cable is fine and I have a connection listed under LAN settings, but the PPP light doesn't come on at all. |

Re: reset my router, now I can't connect to the internet
I'm guessing that you need the account specific settings in the WAN section of that router.
