Partial Web Connection?
Hi there,
Last night I was accessing everything I wanted without any problems. I closed all programs and left the computer running overnight (I don't do this very often). This morning I went to use the Internet and it didn't appear to be working. These are the steps I've tried:

Sounds like your ISP has issues. You can connect to certain websites, but not to others? That sounds like DNS issues.
Try these simple tests. Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt: PING 64.233.161.103 PING www.google.com.au Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

I went home and shut everything down for half an hour...when I booted her back up again and everything was working fine?!?
I didn't check before I shut it all down if it was working so it could have been my ISP, could have been the modem...either way I'm back up and running now...sorry for the hassle :) |
