firewall in router

I have just bought a router modem dsl 504T. Do i need my win firewall on?

imo, you need both a hardware firewall and a software firewall, though I do not consider window firewall a true full fledge firewall.

see this article it may be from 2003 but the facts still hold true.

The router firewall and the Windows firewall have the same basic capability. If you feel the need for more protection, I recommend a 3rd party software firewall.
