Wireless laptop help
1st post guys so be patient
![]() I recently had Bellsouth DSL installed and so far it's been great as long as i'm directly connected to the modem. The only computer in my house is my laptop so I don't like having to stay connected at my desk. I have a NETGEAR WGR614 Wireless router and Intel/PROset wireless on my laptop. I can connect to the neighbors wireless network and I can connect to my dad's network through his belkin router. What do I need to do to allow me to connect wirelessly with my laptop? Since it's the only pc, i'm not sure how to go about that. If I connect modem>router>pc and try to configure the router it won't allow me. I have no internet connection like that. Thanks |

Re: Wireless laptop help
Well I can either see the network and connect but get no activity or it won't even connect. Right now i'm hooked up directly to the modem, I need the router to work so I can move around and to hook up my xbox 360
Right now I can see my network and connect but I get no activity. |

Re: Wireless laptop help
Can you connect your laptop to the router with a cable and connect properly? Have you disabled encryption on the router to get it working? Can you see your router when you scan for available wireless networks? What are the EXACT symptoms you see?
